It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
Happy hump-day everyone! Unless you've been living under a rock you'll know that in the UK we've started to take Black Friday very seriously..! Working in retail (albeit head office) I know all too well that since adopting this American tradition, everyone now waits until the last weekend in November to start their Christmas shopping - me included! It's pretty a given that most retailers will do a nice little % off for Black Friday so I started planning early.
I've been looking for a nice pair of black leather boots for some time now. With shoes, I think that if you can afford to pay for leather you really should. I'm becoming quite precious about my shoes, and although they aren't designer I clean them a lot, use leather cream and i swear by Liquiproof protector! I've got leather trainers, loafers and heeled ankle boots but nothing flat that I can wear with dresses or jeans. These boots were £82 full price on the Topshop website and I hoped that I would get a nice 20% off in the sale. In fact, these went into the Black Friday offers and were priced down to £40 - over a 50% markdown! I love the buckles as they make the shoes feel really new and on trend. They have cut outs in the side which I think would look great with a pair of glittery socks!
I've paired these boots (this day was really all about the boots!) with this gorgeous Zara playsuit/ dress I got last week. I have Isabella Thorsen to thank because I first spotted this on her Instagram and loved the look!
As usual I've finished off the look with my H&M cross body bag. This Gucci dupe has served me well and I feel I should be investing in a designer bag but I always change my mind as to which one I want!
This weekend shoot was pretty chilly so after taking some photos on a beautiful doorstep in London, my boyfriend and I warmed up with mulled wines in one of our favourite pubs! It's starting to feel really Christmassy where we live and I'm itching to get our Christmas tree so we can start decorating it!
How are you getting into the Christmas spirit?
