My 12 Book Challenge

Happy New Year! I don't know about anyone else but every year I say to myself that I'm going to read more. I love reading and loosing myself in a good book. Recently I've been enjoying podcasts on my London commute, and have even signed up to Audible - however there's something magical about switching off in the evenings and curling up with a good book.

The Book Club

I think it would really fun if, at the beginning the month I let you all know which book I'm reading and if you're looking for inspiration and would like to join in then we can all talk about it over on my Instagram and in the comments below! Let me know if you've read the book, you're reading it or if it's on your wishlist. At the end of the month I'll review the book and let you my honest opinions.

So, if you fancy joining in, I'm going to be using the hashtag #phoebesbooks so feel free to use it to follow what I'm reading and to add your own posts! You can also follow my Good Reads account which (Phoebe Nickalls) to find out what's coming up and other books I've read.

So, what's January's book?

The book for January is The Party by Elizabeth Day. Good Reads describes this as "a gripping story of obsession and betrayal, privilege and hypocrisy, set in the unassailable heart of the British establishment.".

I've heard a lot about this book in reviews and on The High Low podcast so I'm hoping it's going to be a page turner! Let me know if you've read it or are planning on reading it this month so we can start a discussion - happy reading!
