8 Winter Skin Saviours for 2018!

Happy new year! This year I'm going to make sure I properly look after my skin. Is it just me or does anyone else's skin suddenly act completely different in Winter? Throughout the summer months I barely get a blemish but then comes Winter and the dreaded central-heating! Not to mention the icy weather we've had lately in London. Suddenly my skin goes from soft to scaly overnight! My face feels dry, tight and flakey for no apparent reason. If that sounds like you then look no further. I've put together my top winter skin saviours to smooth, plum, hydrate and nourish your face.

1. Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash and Balm

Okay so I know I said these would be facial skincare saviours but honestly, the key to healthy skin starts with clean hands! I always use Aesop hand cream and soap - I honestly can't live without it. It's pricey but smells divine and will look great in your bathroom. Clean hands are the first step towards good skin - trust me.

2. La Roche Posay Toleraine Dermo Cleanser and Micellar Water

This range is perfect for people who have super sensitive skin. If your face gets irritated easily these are perfect for you. I take my makeup of with the micellar water and cleanse afterwards with the demo cleanser and a muslin cloth. This removes makeup and dead skin cells to leave your face dewy and fresh. I've been using this for years and I think it's amazing!

3. Rodial Bee Venom Cleansing Balm

This isn't cheap but it's such a treat to use! I apply this thick balm after cleansing for a skin treat! It feels slightly warming on the skin and went rinsed away with a muslin cloth leaves a moisturising layer on your skin that continues to work it's magic! Sometimes I leave this on for 10-15 minutes as a hydrating skin mask!

4. La Roche Posay Toleraine Riche Day Cream

In the day I use this light moisturiser from La Roche Posay. It sinks in quickly and really hydrates my skin in preparation for makeup.

5. Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster

So this might not necessarily save your skin from the dreaded Winter dryness but when you need a pick me up this is like a glow in a bottle! I add a few drops of this into my moisturiser and it helps my skin look brighter and bronzed without needing a separate face tanning cream that's going to do nothing for your skin!

6. La Roche Posay Toleraine Ultra Nuit

This is my night cream. You've probably gathered by now that I use a lot of La Roche Posay products but these are so affordable for how effective they are. This cream is super hydrating - just what I need with the central heating on.

7. Khiels Creamy Eye Treatment

I used to think being in your twenties means you have ages before you need to worry about using an eye cream. Unfortunately dry skin can accelerate the aging process so a hydrating eye cream is crucial to help prevent wrinkles for as long as possible. This cream is really nourishing and worth the money!

8. La Roche Posay Cicaplast Pro Recovery Balm

Finally, if there's one product in this post that you need above all the others it's this cream. With a thick, balm like consistency it helps treat skin irritations, chapped skin, dry patches and post dermatological procedures. I use this on any areas that are particularly dry on my face which is usually my eyelids and cheeks.

I hope you've enjoyed this post. Let me know below what your favourite skincare products are and if you have tried any of those mentioned above!
