My Secret Sale Shopping Tip and Weekend Outfit
If you're anything like me you love a good boxing day sale bargain! It's widely known that ZARA hold one of the best post-christmas sales on the fashion high-street and this year was no exception.
I have a secret (or not-so-secret now!) sale tip for shopping ZARA online during the sales. As long as you know when the sale is going to start, the key is to monitor the website a few days beforehand, adding everything to your basket the day before the sale. If you're logged in, Zara will hold your items for a number of days - this doesn't stop them selling out but helps you to keep you wish list in one place. ZARA will then markdown around 80% of their merchandise on sale day, so when the sale begins and you simply log onto the website you can go straight to the online check-out - without any of the hassle or panic or normal sales!
This year I'd been eyeing up some velvet trousers. At £69.99 full price and down to £25.99 in the sale I knew I needed them - even if the thought of them did leave my boyfriend physically shaking. Brown? Velvet? Wide leg? With a sporty stripe? Surely not..
However I didn't let this stop me - and I'm so happy I bought them! In this look I've styled them with bright white trainers and a black turtle neck jumper for a laid-back Scandinavian feel.
Dressed down, these velvet beauties give a pyjama like feel to an outfit, but they would also look really chic with a pair of strappy heels and a cami for a party look.
There's something super flattering about the wide-leg on these trousers and the honestly look so premium and expensive.
